Thinking about starting therapy can feel overwhelming, uncomfortable, and maybe even scary. Whatever has brought you to this place of considering asking for help, I want you to know I am here to help you. My goal is to assist you in making the changes in your life to feel more confident, less anxious, and more hopeful about your future.
How I approach Therapy
Therapy is designed around you, your goals, at your pace. I am here to support you, partner with you and give you the tools necessary to make the changes you want to see in your life. The theme here is that YOU are the driver in this.
For the last 11 years, my background has been working in a hospital mental health care center. My therapy style is warm, respectful & compassionate. I will support you and challenge you appropriately.
I enjoy working with ages from adolescents, young adults, parents, and individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationship issues.
Trust is critical in a therapeutic relationship, and I encourage you to look for a therapist with whom you believe you can connect and feel understood. If you happen to work with me, I look forward to an interactive relationship and collaboration with you.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Addiction Counselor (CADC).
Anxiety, Depression, Couples Counseling, Relationship Issues, Addiction, Codependency, Self-Esteem.
In addition to working at Panahi Counseling, I also practice in the Behavioral Health Service at the Central DuPage Hospital.
