Cancellation/Missed Appointment Policy

Our goal at Panahi Counseling is to provide quality mental healthcare in a timely manner. To achieve this, we have implemented an appointment/cancellation policy. This policy allows us to optimize available appointments for clients who require our services.

Appointment Cancellation Request

To ensure we meet the needs of all our clients, we kindly ask that you notify your therapist as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment. This will allow us to offer the time to another person who requires therapy on that day.


If you need to cancel your booking, we require at least 24 hours (1 day) advance notice. This will enable us to accommodate patients in need of timely care.


Also, as a fee-for-service, please keep in mind that your therapist is paid only when you show up for your sessions. Insurance companies do not cover missed appointments.

To cancel appointments, kindly contact your therapist at 630-447-8818 and choose their extension number to leave a direct voicemail.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

Please note that a Late Cancellation or No-Show is defined as a missed appointment without a 24-hour (1-day) notice. This inconveniences your therapist as well as other clients who may need access to care in a timely manner. Cancelling an appointment less than 24 hours or not showing up as scheduled will incur a $100 fee, charged to your credit card on file.

In situations where there are prohibitive weather, transportation issues, or childcare concerns, we can conduct the session via phone or video. If one party in a couple cannot attend, we encourage them to come alone instead of canceling and missing the allotted time slot.

Please note that this policy is not intended as a punishment, but rather encourages clients to attend their scheduled appointments and respect the dedication of our therapists who arrange their life and schedule to be available for you.
