Dealing with life-altering loss and changes can be incredibly difficult. Going through it alone can exacerbate this pain. Our goal as a grief group is to provide a supportive space for each member to openly grieve and connect through shared experiences.

Yes, this group is solely dedicated to women who are experiencing grief and loss.

Participation in sharing personal experiences is voluntary in grief group counseling; participants can engage at their comfort level, whether they choose to share or simply listen and reflect. However, it is expected that you honor and provide a safe space for others to share their emotions and feelings.

Grief group counseling helps individuals navigate grief stages by offering a safe space for expression, promoting healing through shared experiences, and providing coping mechanisms to manage emotions.

Participants are generally expected to attend sessions regularly, contribute respectfully to discussions, maintain confidentiality, and show empathy and support towards others in the group.

Grief group counseling sessions are typically designed for individuals who wish to work on their healing journey.

Coping strategies taught in grief group counseling may include mindfulness techniques, journaling, creative expression, and communication skills to help individuals process grief and build resilience in their healing journey.

This group consists of 12 sessions, each lasting 90 minutes. The cost for each session is $53, and it is not covered by any health insurance.

The first meeting will be held on Wednesday September 25 and will continue for 12 bi-weekly sessions.
