A Note From Rebekah

Finding your way back to yourself

You are at a turning point, and you are not sure who you are anymore. Maybe the kids do not need you the way they used to, or you are heading back to work, starting a new career, or stepping into adult life after college. Maybe you just lost someone. Whatever it is, you want to feel like yourself again.

I work with adults, 18 and up. People come to me for grief, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Others are adjusting to parenthood, living with a chronic illness, or working through ADHD, OCD, or disordered eating. Many are somewhere in the middle of midlife, identity, and big life changes.

My style is warm but practical. Together we get clear on what matters most to you, and then let that guide your choices, even when things feel hard. That is the heart of acceptance and commitment therapy, which also helps you find meaning when life feels heavy. When you feel torn, we use internal family systems to understand the parts of you that pull in different directions. And since our relationships often echo our earliest ones, we may look at your attachment patterns too.

I also bring art into our work. Some pain and grief are hard to put into words, and making something can help bring them to the surface. Little by little, you start to feel lighter and more like yourself.

If faith matters to you, I can include a Christian perspective in our work. If you connect with a broader sense of spirituality, you are welcome here too.

It is okay to feel nervous before we meet. That is normal, even if you have been to therapy before. We will take it one step at a time.

I see clients in person here in Wheaton, and across Illinois by telehealth. If you would like to work together, the next step is easy: a free 15-minute call with our care coordinator to hear about my availability and book your first session.

Areas Of Focus

What I help with

I work with adults, 18 and up, across a range of concerns. These are the areas I focus on most, and each links to more on how that support works.

Other things people bring to me: ADHD, OCD, disordered eating, chronic illness, career and college transitions, and midlife and stay-at-home parenting. Serving Wheaton, Naperville, Glen Ellyn, Lombard, Downers Grove, and Carol Stream.

My Approach

Tools I draw on

I tailor my approach to you. These are the methods I return to most often.

Alongside these, I draw on values-based and meaning-making work, a holistic lens, and, when it fits for you, a Christian or spiritual perspective.

Good To Know

Questions, answered

Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. I see clients in person at our Wheaton office and online across Illinois, so we can meet in whatever way fits your life best.
What ages do you work with?
I work with adults, 18 and up. If you are looking for support for a teen or child, our care coordinator can match you with the right therapist on our team.
What happens in a first session?
Mostly we just get to know each other. I listen to what brought you in, answer your questions, and we start mapping out what you want to work toward, at a pace that feels comfortable.
Do you take my insurance?
Our practice is in network with several major plans. The quickest way to check your coverage is a free 15-minute call, or take a look at our insurance and fees page.
What happens if we are not a good fit?
That happens sometimes, and it is completely okay. If we are not the right match, we will work it out together and help you find another therapist, whether that is someone here at the practice or outside it. What matters most is that you get the right support.
Do I need to take medication to be in therapy?
No. You do not need medication to work with me. If it ever seems like it could help, that is a collaborative decision, and ultimately it is your decision.
