A Note From Callie

When you give so much, there is little left for you

You're burnt out. Tired in a way a good night's sleep doesn't seem to touch, stressed, and stretched thinner than you let on. You want to move ahead in your life, but lately you just feel beaten down. A lot of that comes from how much of yourself you give away, and how little you keep for you. What you're really after is some clarity, and your own voice back. That's the work I'd love to do together.

The clients I see most often are the givers, the women and men who hand out so much of themselves that there's little left over. They bring in trauma, grief, codependency, life transitions, women's issues, relationship stress, and the hard weeks that can follow a new baby, including postpartum. Anxiety and depression often come along too, usually after months of running on empty.

My clients are adults, roughly 20 and up. I want this to be a place where you can be fully yourself, with no judgment and no shame. Our sessions are mostly led by you. Some days we name a goal, other days we slow down and notice what you're feeling right now. I'll gently challenge you, and you'll never feel pushed.

My training covers several approaches, and we pick what suits the moment. With EMDR, we help your mind settle memories that still feel stuck in the present, so the past stops running the show. Cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy help you notice the thoughts that weigh you down and take small steps in the direction you choose. When feelings run high, we build skills you can use in the moment to level things out, and bit by bit we rewrite what you've come to believe about yourself. I believe change starts with getting curious about ourselves and staying open to sitting with something uncomfortable long enough to grow.

Little by little, many people get their voice back, clearer about what they need and braver about saying it.

Away from the office, I'm usually moving to music, at the piano, on a ballroom dance floor, or in a pilates or weightlifting class. I love cats, reading, and traveling to experience new cultures and food.

If you're nervous about reaching out, you're in good company. Almost everyone is at first, and I'm easier to talk to than you might expect.

You can see me in person at our Wheaton office or online from anywhere in Illinois. The best way to get started is a free 15-minute call with our care coordinator. They'll answer your questions, check my availability, and help you book your first session.

My Approach

Tools I draw on

Depending on what you need, I draw on a few core methods. Each is a tool toward the same goal: helping you understand yourself a little better and feel steadier in your own life.

Alongside these, I lean on mindfulness and self-compassion, so steadiness becomes something you can return to on your own.

Steady work together

Regular sessions, in person or online, building tools and insight at a rhythm that feels right for you.

Good To Know

Questions, answered

Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. I see clients in person at our Wheaton office and online across Illinois, so we can meet in whatever way fits your life best.
What ages do you work with?
I work with adults, roughly 20 and up. If you are looking for support for a teen or child, our care coordinator can match you with the right therapist on our team.
What happens in a first session?
Mostly we just get to know each other. I listen to what brought you in, answer your questions, and we start mapping out what you want to work toward, at a pace that feels comfortable.
Do you take my insurance?
Our practice is in network with several major plans. The quickest way to check your coverage is a free 15-minute call, or take a look at our insurance and fees page.
What happens if we are not a good fit?
That happens sometimes, and it is completely okay. If we are not the right match, we will work it out together and help you find another therapist, whether that is someone here at the practice or outside it. What matters most is that you get the right support.
Do I need to take medication to be in therapy?
No. You do not need medication to work with me. If it ever seems like it could help, that is a collaborative decision, and ultimately it is your decision.
